Restarting the blog

After my first post (over a year ago!), its time to start this party back up again.

You might be new to this page, and if so; hello!

I'm El. Currently a second year Events Management student, and avid volunteer in the Sports and Art industries. Heres a little picture of me below!

So lets get into the nitty gritty of this blog, why am I starting blogging?

To be straight with you, writing has never been my strong point. As a dyslexic, who grew up writing and speaking American English, writing often gets my head into a muddle. But I've found that writing for fun (and not for work!) helps me get a lot off my mind and makes me able to centre myself for whats next.

As a young, British asian woman, I found it hard to find people or even women like me to: look up to; to relate to; and to be inspired by. Though I am a young person working in events, I find it very challenging to meet people who have had similar paths to me across the industry.

I want this blog to help show my personal and professional career path, and to hopefully help fill a gap where representation still is low. I want anyone, from any background and location to be able to read and enjoy my pieces.

So from now on, I hope you enjoy.
